I am a doctoral candidate in English Literature and Textual Studies at the University of Washington in Seattle. Here's my CV.
My research focuses on Victorian literature and print culture, and is motivated by a love of libraries and collections. My dissertation project considers the relationship between narrative form and the institutional systems of print culture and literary history, particularly in collecting and cataloguing practices at Victorian libraries and in reprint and collected works editions of Charles Dickens and George Eliot.
I am currently the assistant editor of Modern Language Quarterly. I also co-organize the UW 18th & 19th Century Graduate Research Cluster, which brings together grad students and faculty from UW and around the PNW for reading groups, speakers, and events.
I talk about 80s music and Liverpool FC on Twitter.
