¶ about

I am a doctoral candidate in English Literature at the University of Washington in Seattle. Here's my CV.

My research focuses on nineteenth-century literature, print culture, and the history of libraries and archives. I am currently completing a dissertation on George Eliot and Charles Dickens, which explores the transnational and transtemporal circulation of Victorian fiction through books, newspapers, and archives. More about my publications and research activities here.

I am a contributing editor to At the Circulating Library: a Database of Victorian Fiction, 1837-1901 and a co-organizer of UW 18/19. I am a former assistant editor of MLQ.

I talk about Liverpool FC and 80s music on Twitter.
